A man, Bem Matthew, is alleged to have fatally stabbed his wife following a heated argument.
The incident reportedly unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday at Korinya City, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.
While specific details surrounding the incident remain somewhat unclear, an eyewitness account suggests that the suspect confessed to the crime, stating that he had committed the act due to his wife’s lack of submission.
The victim, a mother-of-two, was reportedly pregnant.
The eyewitness further revealed that the deceased suffered multiple stab wounds, with injuries found on her rib, back, and thighs. Her body has been transferred to the mortuary of Saint Joseph’s Clinic and Maternity in Korinya City.
Law enforcement agents have reportedly taken the suspect into custody at the Konshisha Police Divisional Headquarters in Tse Agberagba.
