Days after being accused of having love affair with the late Alaafin of Oyo’s wife by popular social media gossip blog – Gist Lover, controversial street hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has confirmed that there is actually a romance brewing between him and the former Olori.
This is coming after the screenshots of their chats where they both exchanged endearing words like ‘my king’ and ‘queen’ with love emojis surfaced on the internet.
Speaking in an interview on the Honest Bunch, a podcast by Wazobia FM’s OAP – Nedu and his friends, the Zazoo crooner acknowledged his romantic engagement with the late king’s widow, Queen Dami.
Explaining that his alleged relationship with Queen Dami started with her being a foundational fan of his, he said their relationship only moved up a notch after the death of the monarch.
Portable said: “Queen Dami has been my fan from day one. When I now heard of the king’s death, after king na king.
“You wouldn’t have seen me with her if the king was still alive. I no dey follow person wife.”
The controversial act also used the opportunity to take a swipe at his industry arch-enemy, Seyi Vibes, accusing him of refusing to reciprocate the favor he did him when he performed on his show at the shrine.
Asked by Nedu if that was the genesis of their quarrel, Portable replied with an emphatic ‘Yes”.
“Seyi beg me make I come shrine come perform for im show, as me, I come. I no collect shingbakain.
“I spray 500k I no ask am anything. Na my manager I para for say see show wey you carry me come. Oya, me I wan do my show for shrine, e dey ga. E say e no come. E no reply my message sef. Fuck your Glory…”

Sometime in June, a video of the late Alaafin’s widow surfaced online where she was being ordered around by actor, Lege Miami.
Miami has a dating show where he match-makes singles, and former Olori Dami had featured on the site.
In what appears to be a commanding tone that should, ideally, be reserved for a naughty teenager, Lege rebuked the widow for being totally covered up while claiming to look for love.
He then ordered her to go change into a skimpy outfit.
The widow punctuated her responses with, ‘Yes sir,’ all the while speaking in Yoruba language.
This also seemed to annoy the artiste as he also encouraged the former olori to speak in English, noting that he also struggles to speak in English.
Also, in what appeared to be a direct response to the issue, Queen Dami had, last week, taken to her Instagram page to say that a relationship goes beyond being with an attractive man, but about being with a man who can make you happy and accept you.
“Relationship is not about fine guy, Date the man who can make you happy that can even take you for who you are,” the young widow wrote on her Instagram wall.
