The news was conveyed to the founder of the Kukah Centre via a letter signed by a priest of the Comboni Missionaries and Director of the Madrid-based Spanish Magazine, Mundo Negro, Fr. Enrique Bayo Mata.
Executive Director of the Kukah Centre, Fr Atta Barkindo, confirmed the award in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday while he expressed gratitude for the recognition of Bishop Kukah’s contributions; assuring that the award will spur them all to work harder to promote the ideals that Bishop Kukah represents to make the world a better place.
The award includes a cash prize of €10,000 that would be officially presented to Bishop Kukah in Madrid on February 3, 2024.
