A woman who posed as a customer has kidnapped two siblings in Benue State.
In a shocking incident on Sunday, a yet-to-be-identified woman absconded with two young children, Philomena Kpaakpa, aged 4; and Benedict Kpaakpa, aged 2.
This crime was carried out in the vicinity of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, right at their family residence during the early hours of September 24, 2023.
According to an eye-witness account provided by Wonov Tersoo Felix, who posted the information on Facebook, the woman approached the children with the pretext of purchasing soya milk from them.
She reportedly handed them ₦500 for ₦50 worth of soya milk, claiming she had no change. She then persuaded them to accompany her to a nearby shop where she could obtain smaller notes to pay them.
When the children’s mother returned from morning mass, she discovered that Philomena and Benedict were missing, and their whereabouts have remained unknown as of the time if filing thus report.
Desperate for assistance in locating her missing children, the distressed mother and concerned community members urged everyone to share this critical information, including to any security agencies operating at various checkpoints.
They implored the agencies to remain vigilant and report any sightings of individuals traveling with children matching the description of Philomena and Benedict.
