The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said on Wednesday that its operatives in Gombe Zonal directorate have arrested 21 suspected internet fraudsters.
A statement issued by the Commission’s spokesman, Dele Oyewale, said the suspects were arrested at different locations around Modobo Adamawa University, Yola, Adamawa State capital on Tuesday, September 24, 2024,
According to the statement, items recovered at the point of arrest include 13 phones, 12 Android phones, one laptop and one tablet phone.
“The suspects would soon be charged to court,” the statement indicated.
