The abducted wife of the slain pastor of Second Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) at Damakasuwa in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mrs. Grace Maraya, has been set free by her abductors.
She regained her freedom two days after her husband Rev Amako Maraya’s killers abducted her.
According to an elder in the church, Mr. Ishaku Chinge, the late Pastor’s wife was released on Sunday night after a ransom of N350,000 was paid. He mentioned that the kidnappers initially demanded N3million, but through negotiation, they agreed to accept N350,000
She is presently taking medication in a hospital.
Unknown gunmen had last week Friday invaded ECWA church, Damakasuwa in Kauru LGA, killed the Pastor in charge, Amako Maraya and abducted his wife.
Also, it was learnt that the gunmen had attempted to kidnap the Pastor’s son three months ago, but were repelled by the community members, leaving the boy injured.
