Sequel to his election as the Senate President this morning, Godswill Akpabio has updated his biography on Wikipedia.
The Senate on Tuesday elected the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress for the Senate presidency.
Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio was born December 9, 1962 and is a lawyer and politician who served as minister for Niger Delta Affairs from 2019 to 2022.
He resigned on May 11, 2022 on the directive of then President Muhammadu Buhari to contest in the presidential primaries of the All Progressives Congress.
He previously served as governor of Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2015.
