South Africa has congratulated Nigeria for making it to the final of AFCON 2023.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria advanced to the final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast after beating Bafana Bafana of South Africa 4-2 on penalties Wednesday [today].
In the line-up against South Africa, the head coach, Jose Peseiro, only made one change in the squad that faced Angola, with Osayi-Samuel replacing Zaidu.
Egyptian referee Amin Mohamed Omar will officiated the match.
Nigeria reached its first AFCON final in 11 years.
Immediately after the match, South Africa took to their X handle to congratulate Nigeria.
