Billion Dollars Prophet sues Chef Dammy for N20m

Damilola Adeparusi, a.k.a, Chef Dammy, has been sued for a whopping N20m.

Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah a.k.a Billion Dollars Prophet, is suing the 24-year-old 400-Level Mass Communication student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) for N20,000,000 (twenty million naira) in damages.

Jeremiah leads the Spirit Word Global Mission.

It may be recalled that Chef Dammy recently called out some people on social media, saying they should be held responsible if anything happens to her.

According to her, the unnamed persons had been threatening, cursing, and bullying her for months after her controversial cook-a-thon.

Probably spurred on by her Instagram followers who had urged her to speak up before it was too late, on October 19, 2023, Dammy had posted on her Instagram wall: “I’ll be having an interview in Lagos soon. And I’m ready to let everything out once I get back.

“But in case anything happens to me, Adegoke Jeremiah, A.K.A Billion Dollars Prophet, hold him responsible, he told me to prepare for war and we are both on it”.

In a letter signed by his lawyers, Bisayo Sule & Co Legal Practitioners, and dated 23rd October 2023, Jeremiah demanded a retraction of the “libelous statement” on social media and two widely-read national dailies; and payment of a sum of N20m for damages.

The letter reads in part, “In view of the incalculable damage you have done to the good reputation of our client, we demand a retraction of the libelous statement on all the social media, particularly your Instagram page, and two (2) widely read national dailies.

“Additionally, we are demanding a sum of (Twenty Million Naira Only).

“N20,000,000:00 being Damages for the act of Defamation against our client.

“Take notice that you have seven (7) days from the date of service of this letter on you, the date of service inclusive to comply with our demand.

“Failure of which we shall not hesitate to seek a redress in the court of law.”
