Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, has been declared winner of the Best Album of the Year at the Trace Awards ongoing in Kigali, Rwanda.
The winning song is his album Love Damini,
Iya takes its name from the Yoruba word for “mother” and tells unusual and fascinating stories about women – with a focus on African women. It publishes life stories of struggle, courage, and triumph of real women. Iya uncovers the challenges met by these women, the ordeals they suffered, the odds they overcame, and the results they accomplished.
