According to astrology, star signs can tell us a lot about ourselves, from the fundamentals of our personalities, to how we behave at work and even how we fare in romantic relationships.
This sharply contrasts with the popular quote by Cassius in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar:
“Men at some time are masters of their fates. The fault … is not in our stars, But in ourselves…”
However, research has found that astrology can also tell us who in the zodiac is more likely to cheat on their partners.
While Geminis often get the worst rap of the lot for their twin personalities, it’s actually Aries who are the most likely to stray.
Research by dating site IllicitEncoutners.com, which matches married people wanting affairs, found that 21% of its members were in the Aries star sign, or born between March 21 and April 19.
Capricorns were the second star sign most likely to cheat at 14%, while Geminis came in third at 11%.
On the other end of the spectrum, Taurus was deemed to be the most faithful at 3%, followed by Virgo (4%) and Cancer (5%).
To find these results, the affairs site looked at data from 15,000 of its members over the past year.

“As an Aries, I’ve always been drawn to adventure and excitement,” one of the site’s members, Jason from Windsor, said.
“I’m a devoted partner on the surface, but let’s just say I’ve got a bit of a wandering eye. It’s not that I don’t love my wife, but sometimes the thrill of the chase is too hard to resist. Call it a weakness or blame it on the stars, but life’s too short to stick to one path,” he added.
Another member, Lucy from Bath, revealed: “I started having an affair last summer after reaching breaking point with my husband. He’s a Pisces who seems to swim away from any sort of conflict, which means we’ve never managed to get around our marriage issues.
“I’m a Capricorn, and I’ve always prided myself on my loyalty and reliability. But guess what? Even us goats have our moments when we decide enough is enough. Now, I’m seeing a fellow Capricorn and I can finally say that I’ve found someone who really understands me.”
Sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com, Jessica Leoni, said Aries are ‘impulsive’ and the ‘daredevils’ of the zodiac.
She continued: “With their boundless energy and penchant for excitement, they’re always chasing after the next thrill, making them more likely to be led straight into the arms of temptation.”
Leoni added than Taureans, on the other hand, were ‘loyal’ and ‘dependable’, and the “poster child for commitment”.
“They’re not about to let a little itch sway them from their path of devotion,” Leoni explained. “So, if you’ve got yourself a Taurus partner, hold onto them tight – they’re as faithful as they come!”
