Fathers excluded from wish lists as fans react to Victor Boniface’s tweet

X [formerly Twitter] fans of Nigerian-born Germany-based footballer, Victor Boniface, have set the tone for discussions about the position of fathers in a child’s life, especially after that child might have attained greatness.

Indeed, a sociologist or gender specialist would find more than enough matters to pore over when it comes to the review of the reactions to the simple tweet.

Incidentally, most of the reactions favouring the mothers were by X handles with the male display photographs.

The reactions came on account of a tweet containing Victor Boniface and his grandma’s photograph in a first class cabin.

Victor Okoh Boniface is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and the Nigeria national team.

He had tweeted with a single word, “Grandma,” with a love emoji. The tweet has attracted over 1,000 comments as well as over 6,000 retweets.

What is intriguing, though, is that his male followers only prayed to replicate the same with their mothers, leaving us to wonder where the place of the father is in their sons’ hearts.

A glimmer of hope for fathers, though:
