God doesn’t want sinners to perish, Portable tells Bobrisky

The crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been urged to reconsider his lifestyle, and repent from sinful ways.

Just when you’re thinking that this was coming from a pastor to a potential convert, you’ll be shocked that the preacher is none other than an equally controversial personality — singer, Habeeb Okikiola, aka, Portable

The 30-year-old father-of-five gave the counsel in the light of Bobrisky’s ongoing legal and personal issues.

It may be recalled that Bobrisky was released from correctional facility on August 5 after serving a six-month sentence that began on April 12 for abuse of the Naira.

A recent voice note supposedly belonging to the crossdresser is currently making waves nationally, with the authorities threatening to unearth the alleged claims of Bobrisky bribing some EFCC officials with N15m to drop the money laundering charges against him, as well as the allegation that the crossdresser didn’t spend his term in jail as the law demands after bribing correctional facility officials.

The controversial voice notes were shared on social media by influencer, Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

Bobrisky has denied everything, calling the audio “fake” and asserting, “I served my term in prison.”

Following the bribery claims, the EFCC summoned both Bobrisky and Otse for questioning, with the agency’s chairman, Ola Olukoyede, ordering a thorough investigation into the matter.

The Nigerian government responded by suspending two Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) officers suspected in the scandal.

Further complicating the issue, Folakemi Falana, daughter of human rights lawyer Femi Falana, has fired back at accusations of bribery and corruption involving her father, her brother, Falz, as regards Bobrisky matter.

In a statement on her Instagram page on Friday, Folakemi clarified that her father had never met or spoken to Bobrisky and that Bobrisky was the one that reached out to Falz for financial assistance to stay in the VIP section of prison without discussing a presidential pardon..

Amidst the mounting legal challenges, Bobrisky admitted to struggling with suicidal thoughts but emphasized that he wasn’t seeking sympathy, only understanding as he navigates this difficult period.

In response to the unfolding drama, Portable took to Instagram to urge Bobrisky to reject any thoughts of suicide and instead seek forgiveness from God, encouraging a positive life change.

“Bobrisky, life is risky. God doesn’t want sinners to perish. Tell him to repent. If a sinner doesn’t repent, they will face damnation. If you die in sin, you’ll end up in hell. Ask God for forgiveness. All Bobrisky needs is to seek God’s forgiveness. If he repents, he’ll enjoy life, but if not…” Portable preached.
