Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has extended warm wishes to his wife and first lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, on the occasion of her 57th birthday.
In a tweet via his official X [formerly Twitter] handle on Monday (today), the Governor praised her as a dependable partner, a committed prayer warrior, a caring and loving wife, and mother.
Ibijoke, who is the Chairman of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) and a distinguished medical doctor, clocks 57 years today January 8.
Earlier on Sunday, Governor Sanwo-Olu, via a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, had lauded his wife as a courageous, kind-hearted, and formidable pillar of support. He acknowledged her invaluable role in advancing the THEMES+ development agenda of his administration, emphasizing her reliability in this mission.
Describing his wife as an inestimable jewel, the Governor expressed gratitude for her impact on numerous lives, both in her capacity as a medical practitioner and now as the first lady of Lagos.
He remarked, “Ibijoke is a God-fearing woman, a good companion, a caring and loving wife and mother. She is a passionate Christian and lover of children.”
The Governor went on to emphasize the significant role she has played over two decades of marriage, noting her dedication to ensuring good governance and the delivery of democracy’s dividends to millions of Lagos residents.
He also acknowledged her role in spearheading various people-oriented programs through her office and COWLSO.
Governor Sanwo-Olu seized the occasion to appreciate the first lady for her substantial contributions to their family, the medical profession, Lagos State, and humanity at large. He concluded his heartfelt message by wishing her good health, prosperity, and more impactful years ahead.
