Hoodlums attack Adamawa commissioner, steal official vehicle

In the early hours of Monday, February 12, 2024, the residence of Mohammed Sadiq, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources Development in Adamawa State, was allegedly attacked by hoodlums.

Reports allege that the assailants stole the commissioner’s official vehicle, a Toyota Hilux, and other valuables. Also, the commissioner was allegedly brutalized and promptly taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

In the statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor stated, “There’s credible intelligence about some youths who are gearing up to break into government and private warehouses in the state.”

Less than 24 hours after the governor’s statement, the Adamawa State Police announced the arrest of four individuals linked to the commissioner’s assault.
