Yul Edochie’s aunt and veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie, has ridiculed someone she didn’t name in an Instagram post.
In a trending post, she had stated: “How can you ask a legally and legitimately married woman to drop the husband’s surname, while you that is picked from the street has the right to answer his name? Jeeeeesus! no be juju!”
It may be recalled that Nollywood act Yul Edochie had fallen out with his first wife May Aligwe, with whom he had three sons and a daughter.
On April 27, 2022, the actor revealed that he had taken actress Judy Austin as his second wife, after they both had a son together.
May has since indicated her objection to her husband’s second marriage, saying she signed up for monogamy and would therefore not cooperate with anyone trying to smuggle in polygamy through the back door.
Though Rita didn’t mention any name, her Instagram followers have reacted in droves. See some of the reactions:
