A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Badagry, Lagos State, on Wednesday, ordered that a 20-year-old man, Peter Ezekiel, who allegedly abducted and defiled a 14-year-old girl be remanded in a correctional centre.
The police charged Ezekiel, whose address was not provided, with two counts of abduction and defilement.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya, who did not take the plea of Ezekiel, ordered him to be remanded in correctional centre pending when bail would be granted in a High Court.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel had told the court that Ezekiel committed the offence sometime in Dec. 2023 at Bakery Area of Ashipa, Seme Border, Badagry, Lagos.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 411, 269, 261 and 263 of the 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state, 2015. (NAN)
