Some persons have been reported trapped as a building under construction collapsed near the Ochanja market in Onitsha, Anambra State.
It was gathered that the building, intended to serve as a market on completion, collapsed at about 8PM on Monday while some of the workers were still inside.
The situation created panic around the area as passers-by and residents made efforts to rescue the trapped victims from the rubble.
As of Tuesday [today], a source near the area said one person has been feared killed, with two others experiencing varying degrees of injuries, while rescue operations are still ongoing.
Also, the state Police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, could not be reached for confirmation of the incident.
