Popular Nigerian Television host, Dr. Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has been appointed the Managing Director of the TVC Entertainment Channel (TVCe).
Afolabi-Brown disclosed this on Thursday on her X account (formerly twitter) @moakabash, saying, the appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter in her career.
“I am pleased to announce my appointment as the Managing Director of TVCe, the Entertainment arm of TVC Communications. This is a new chapter in my career. I am exceedingly grateful to the board for entrusting me with this all important role. Thank you Jesus,” she posted.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the television presenter, saying her appointment as Managing Director of TVCe is well deserving and inspirational to young media practitioners.
The governor described Afolabi-Brown as one of the most influential women presenters in Nigeria and Africa who has been recognised as one of the top 25 most influential women in Journalism Africa (WIJA) 2020 where she ranked 18th on the list.
He said: “The appointment of Dr. Afolabi-Brown as the Managing Director of TVCe, the Entertainment Channel of TVC Communications, is deserving having distinguished herself at TVC Communications and the media industry for almost two decades.
Morayo Afolabi-Brown is a Nigerian TV Host. She was the deputy director of Programmes at TVC News before her new appointment. She currently hosts TVC’s breakfast show ‘Your View’.
She is the only daughter of the late Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Alao Aka-Bashorun.
