National challenges are also spiritual -Adeboye. Nigerians disagree

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye says Nigeria’s challenges are not only political but spiritual.

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, disclosed this via a tweet on his X [formerly Twitter] handle @ubasanius.

However, Nigerians on the Internet mostly disagreed with the cleric’s position.

Governor Sani had tweeted, “I had the rare honour and privilege today of receiving in audience our iconic Evangelist, Pastor Enoch Adeboye at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.”

Pastor Adeboye, who was in Kaduna for the RCCG’s crusade themed ‘Light Up Kaduna,’ prayed fervently for success, peace and stability in Kaduna State.

He took a critical look at Nigeria’s challenges, submitting that they were not only political, but spiritual, as well.

Stressing the need to pray, the cleric said, “When problems seem overwhelming, we must call on Almighty God for help. It is for this reason that the RCCG has embarked on nationwide crusade to seek God’s intervention.

“With God’s intervention, our problems would soon be over.”

In his remarks, Governor Sani thanked Pastor Adeboye and his team for the visit and prayers for his administration and the state.

“I urged him not to relent in intervening in national affairs. I assured him that our dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is taking decisive steps to tackle our economic and developmental challenges.

“Although the current reforms are painful, they are temporary. In no time the benefits would start manifesting. The President therefore needs the support and cooperation of all and sundry to succeed in this arduous task,” Sani assured.
