#PastorKumuyi trended on X for the best part of Monday.
This is because the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, on Sunday joined other top ministers of God in a special programme ahead of the inauguration of President Donald Trump in the United States of America.
The event, tagged Inauguration Praise & Prayer Convocation, which took place at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church, was organised by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World ministry, alongside Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council.
In a viral video online, the renowned Nigerian cleric was seen with other Christian faith leaders and believers in the prayer meeting for the nation and its incoming administration.
During his ministration, Kumuyi prayed for unity, revival, and a spiritual renewed of America and the church to pursue holiness and righteousness.
He delivered a prayer challenge to the American church and its leaders, urging them to pursue holiness and righteousness as essential steps toward spiritual renewal and national revival.
The action has since attracted reactions from Nigerians. See some of the reactions:
More grace and open doors, Sir.

Thank you Daddy.
However, Daddy please let us start by using the power of the gospel to transform Nigeria before we attempt to transform other nations.— Mfon Udoema (@MfonUdoema) January 21, 2025
Pastor W.F. Kumuyi’s actions are truly commendable.
Many other pastors might have attended the inauguration to discuss economic matters or engage in political talks that offer no benefit to the Cross, often focusing on personal or denominational interests.

You look so good sir. May God Almighty increase your honour and strength like Caleb.

I am a Muslim. But, no pastor I respect so much like Pastor Kumuyi. He doesn’t preach riches and he taught all his members self contentment and minimalism.
May GOD bless you Sir.
