Niger Gov’s wife begins distribution of OneNigeria unity fabric

Hajiya Fatima Bago, wife of Niger State Governor, has launched the distribution of OneNigeria Unity Fabric Initiative in the state to emphasise unity and strength in diversity.

The initiative launched in Minna on Wednesday, was the brainchild of Nigeria’s First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Sen. Tinubu had in September unveiled the OneNigeria Unity Fabric Initiative aimed at fostering unity across Nigeria.

Bago said the event celebrated Nigeria’s cultural diversity while recognising shared values.

“This fabric symbolises our unity as Nigerians. Every thread represents our shared hopes and dreams for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria,” she said.

She said that Niger State historically had been a beacon of peace and harmony and called citizens to support one another, especially the less privileged in challenging times.

Bago emphasised unity as a collective responsibility, beginning with small acts of kindness within the communities.

She thanked the First Lady for her visionary leadership and encouraged citizens to wear the fabric with pride, reminding them of their shared Nigerian identity.
