Tongues are wagging over the chanting of President Bola Tinubu’s campaign song, ‘On Your Mandate We Stand,’ during the budget presentation at the joint session of the National Assembly (NASS).
The NASS members seemed to have replaced the national anthem with the campaign song.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Wednesday presented the 2024 budget proposal of N27.5trn at the joint session of the National Assembly.
While concerns have been raised about the projected expenditure of the budget, reactions have also followed the song of allegiance, ‘On Your Mandate, We Shall Stand’ which was used to usher in President Tinubu before he presented the budget.
Many social media users see the action as an aberration, where there is a national anthem.
