Nigerians have reacted to President Bola Tinubu’s assertion that a friend of his can no longer fuel his five limousines and that he now drives around in a humble Honda Accord.
Tinubu spoke during his first presidential media chat on Monday evening.
When asked about his reaction to the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the economy, Tinubu had responded: “I have no regrets removing the subsidy, I can’t be a father Christmas to the neighboring countries.”
Continuing, he said, “By the way, I saw a friend who has 5 limos, but moving about in a low fuel consumption Honda Accord. He could not afford the fuel for the limos.”
Nigerians have since expressed their thoughts about the statement. See some of the reactions:

Really?
People are learning management?
Can someone tell him that management and starvation because of the high cost of living is not the same.— FidelaEntertainment (@Fatima543586) December 24, 2024

The common men should manage but you can have new yatches, New aircrafts, New motorcade fleets, several billions on irrelevant renovations.
Well done 😒

The same President and his family are living larger than life, but he is happy that his own people are managing
This reminds me of my university days where some of our lecturers will openly say that:
A is for God
B is for Me, and
C to F is for youMeaning no matter how well…

He has a particular fan base in the west that understands his speech . The rest of the country are starving.

What he’s saying for make sense, if the Legislatures are managing also, if he didn’t approved new vehicles and renovation of buildings that isn’t even 5 years old

Imagine how Tinubu is justifying the hardship they perpetrated in Nigeria. Just imagine! This goes out to show that there’s absolutely no hope here. 2025 is going to be hardship pro-max. Let’s brace up, guys.
