A vendor was said to have refused to pay a winner, leading to hot arguments, and someone was injured.
Some hoodlums reportedly joined the fight, and many people, including elderly persons, were injured.
This it was gathered angered another group which engaged in a reprisal attack, burning a trailer that was loaded with pepper and other items.
The fight spread through the night, and it took the intervention of the Tactical unit of the Nigeria Police Command to restore normalcy.
However, business activities were disrupted.
