PHOTOS: Supreme Court verdict reaffirmed people’s mandate -Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has applauded the Supreme Court’s judgement, which confirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s electoral victory in the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

He described the Apex court’s judgement as a reaffirmation of the people’s mandate, which according to him, was freely given to President Bola Tinubu to lead Nigeria from May 29, 2023 to May 29, 2027.

“We have reached the final stage of the political journey, which started over a year ago. Today’s verdict by the Apex Court in Nigeria has ruled and stated unequivocally that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said while he enjoined Nigerians, especially the opposition parties to work together with the President to move the country forward.

He also called on all Nigerians to contribute to the country’s development, emphasizing that we all have a responsibility to make Nigeria a better place.

The Governor appreciated the judiciary for upholding the truth and safeguarding Nigeria’s democracy.
