Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command say they have discovered the corpses of a man and a woman in an apartment in Ojodu area. They are believed to be lovers.
The Police alleged that the man killed himself after discovering that he had killed his partner.
The Lagos State Police Command verified the deaths of the man and the woman, suspected to be in a romantic relationship, in an apartment in the Ojodu area of the state.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the incident on Monday, stating that the sudden and unnatural deaths of Adebayo Adeseko, 30, and Sarah Adesanya, 36, were reported to the Ojodu Police Division on Sunday at about 9:10 am.
Their bodies were found at their apartment on No 8B, Gbete Street, off Shoyemi Bamaco Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos. Following this information, a police team promptly visited the scene, photographed it, and evacuated the corpses for autopsy.
The investigation into the circumstances of their death is ongoing. It was revealed that the man, a filmmaker, had a dispute with his lover on Saturday, leading to a heated argument and physical altercation resulting in the woman’s demise.
Additionally, it was reported that the man, upon discovering the woman’s death, allegedly stabbed himself, leading to his own demise.
A picture from the scene presented by the police spokesperson showed the man lying in a pool of blood.
