Nollywood Actress Tonto Dikeh has reacted over the decision of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to bring on board singer Naira Marley in its fight against drug abuse.
She tagged the agency the ‘most unserious set of folks’, vowing to unfollow NDLEA immediately after it shared photos of Naira Marley’s visit to its headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
According to the federal law enforcement agency’s official X handle, Naira Marley visited its headquarters where he met the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (Retd) and others. The singer declared his support to join in the War Against Drug Abuse.
In a latest post, the singer, captured in a video, could be heard urging fans and all Nigerian youths “to stop doing drugs because it isn’t good for their well-being.”
He continued: “Let us stop substance abuse in any form. I have keyed into this campaign to support NDLEA to stop drugs in the street.
“Please join us. It’s really not good. It makes you go back into crime. It does a lot of things to you. Thank you very much”, he added.
Dikeh had signified interest to work with the agency several months ago in a social media post where she expressed her willingness to undergo a drug test and partnering them to battle illicit substance abuse. However, NDLEA didn’t act on her proposal.
With the latest development, she suggested that her contempt was against the government and not Naira Marley.
She described the development as ‘biggest embarrassment from any government agency/drug law enforcement agency’.
She challenged the federal law enforcement agency to chat or pick her up over her public outburst but advised NDLEA to do so courteously, else there’d be a problem.
The mother-of-one wrote: “I don’t involve myself in bullshit, especially other people’s bullshit…
“This I must say is the biggest embarrassment from any government agency/drug law enforcement agency…
“I wld like to say more but I’ll wait for @ndlea_nigeria to pick me up for an interview/drug test/ or just a chat on why I’m bold enough to call them out!!!!
“Sirs/ma’s I’M READY. You know my address, I’ll ask you do it respectfully otherwise we’ll have a PROBLEM…..
“And if I’m replied I’ll gladly respond disrespectfully…… I have absolutely nothing wrong on the said artist but the government………”
