The Senior Pastor of Fountain of Life Church Pastor Taiwo Odukoya is dead. His demise was confirmed via the official Facebook page of the church.
The church disclosed that the cleric died on Monday, August 7, in the United States of America.
The post read: “The fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA.
“We are in total submission to you LORD!!! We thank the Lord for the gift of a greater leader!!!”
In January 2010, Pastor Odukoya got married to South African national, Nomthi, who died at the age of 47 in November 2021. The marriage was sequel to the death of his first wife, Bimbo, who died on December 10, 2005, along with 102 other people in the crashed Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145. She was 45.
According to Pastor Taiwo’s bio on his church’s website, Taiwo Odukoya was the senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Lagos, Nigeria and an expert on leadership and relationship issues.
A firm believer in the potential of his country, he had established and actively invested in various initiatives with a view to empowering and supporting particularly the underprivileged, and raising leaders in every sphere of life.
Among the initiatives were Discovery for Men, Discovery for Women, Grace Springs Rehabilitation Home, Ruth & Boaz Fellowship, The Hope Centre and Grace Springs Business & Vocational School.
With a degree in petroleum engineering, he worked for 12 years with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) until his voluntary retirement in 1994 to concentrate on full-time ministry.
He is an accomplished author, a mentor, an encourager and a pastor of pastors.
