Two Nigerian women, Adaeze Jaye, 43; and Success Chamika, 23, were apprehended by the Police in Pushkarm, Rajasthan, India, on the evening of Friday, October 27, 2023.
The arrests were made in connection with alleged possession of illicit drugs with an estimated street value of over N63 million.
Law enforcement officials reportedly discovered 65 grams of Mephedrone (MD) and a sum of Rs 65,000 [$779.25] in cash in the possession of the two women during the late-night operation. Additionally, the police also confiscated a digital wave machine from the suspects.

Authorities have estimated the total worth of the confiscated drugs to be approximately Rs 6 lakh [$7,193.07]. In response to this incident, a case has been registered against Adaeze Jaye and Success Chamika under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Police in-charge Rakesh Yadav has confirmed that higher-ranking officials and the control room have been duly informed of the situation.
