Two women, Aladesuyi Ademidesola and Eziafakaku Nwokolo have won a total sum of N3m in the Impact Investment Award at the 2023 annual conference of the Women in Business (WIMBIZ) Management and Public Service.
While Ademidesola received N1million, Nwokolo, a board-certified behavior analyst, received N2million.
The award was sponsored by the Nigerian Bottling Company Plc (NBC) and is aimed at promoting the development of women.
The 2023 Wimbiz conference is themed ‘I’m Possible: Thrive!’
Speaking on the rationale behind the award, the Company’s representative, Ifeoma Okoye, said that the gesture was part of the firm’s commitment towards developing women.
“By November 22, we will be 72years in Nigeria. We are passionate about empowering youths and women. This Impact award gives us an opportunity to do just that,” she said.
Also, a media personality, Tosin Ajibade who is the founder of the blog ‘OloriSupergal’ won N1m prize sponsored by Unilever Nigeria Plc at the conference.
Representative of Unilever, Folake Ogundipe, said that her company seeks to show its commitment to women as it marks its centenary anniversary.
“We are committed to making sustainable living commonplace,” she said.
