A 400-level student in the Department of Statistics at the University of Ilorin, Qudus Owoyemi, has set a new world record for completing five skin fade haircuts in the fastest time on record.
As contained in the university’s bulletin released on Monday, the impressive feat was accomplished in 14 minutes, 56 seconds, and 83 milliseconds, surpassing the previous record of 18 minutes and 57 seconds.
Owoyemi, with an outstanding CGPA of 4.87, performed the task to the delight of an enthralled audience at the university.
According to report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the event, which took place on Jan. 25, at the university, is poised to secure a spot in the Guinness World Book of Records.
The vice chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, commended Owoyemi’s remarkable achievement, expressing the university’s pride in his accomplishment.
He urged other students to pursue their passions, assuring continued support from the university’s management for innovation and excellence.
Egbewole noted that this achievement further underscores the university’s dedication to excellence and innovation.
