Moment Passenger plane crash-lands at Mogadishu’s international airport. According to authorities, all 30 passengers and four crew members on the domestic flight survived, the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) said in a statement.
Several people were injured, however.
The cause of the accident is reported to have involved faulty landing gear.
Dramatic footage taken at the airport at the time of the incident appears to show the aircraft smashing into the runway and breaking apart.
Somali state media has confirmed that the Halla Airlines plane skidded off the runway.
Picture from the scene of the crash shows the cockpit nearly completely severed from the rest of the plane.
The country’s aviation minister has reported that 30 passengers and four crew members were on board the aircraft, with at least two injuries requiring hospital treatment.
