The Lagos State House of Assembly members have elected erstwhile Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, as the new Speaker.
Meranda’s election was sequel to the impeachment of erstwhile Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, over multiple fraudulent allegations on Monday [today].
Meranda took oath of office immediately after her election as Speaker.
