…Sanwo-Olu, Atiku express support
Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support over her cookathon which she commenced on May 11 and hopes to round off by 4PM today.
At the commencement of the exercise, Baci had tweeted: “Join me as I take on the cooking marathon world record on this 4-day epic adventure.
On Monday [today], the Akwa Ibom-born Hilda broke the “longest cooking marathon record by an individual” after hitting the 87 hours 50 minutes mark.
The hitherto world record holder, Lata Tondon, an Indian chef, achieved the feat in 2019 with 87 hours 45 minutes record uninterrupted cooking.
Hilda is set to not only surpass her, she is also poised to set a new record of 94 hours, though her fans are encouraging her to make it 100 hours.
See the video of Hilda as she explained her mission while also soliciting publ;ic support before she started the history-making cookathon.
This is even as the governor of host state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, as well as a Peoples Democratic Party stalwart, Atiku Abubakar, joined other Nigerians to celebrate the young chef.
