VIDEO: KWAM 1, former drummer in open confrontation

A few days ago, Kunle Ayanlowo, one of the former drummers for the famous Fuji artiste Wasiu Ayinde, aka KWAM 1, accused the latter of how terrible he was when he was under him.

Ayanlowo said he left KWAM 1’s band in 2022.

Ayankunle, in a discussion, said that K1 always takes the passports of his band members members whenever they travel out of the country. He said he couldn’t understand why the acclaimed Fuji musician does that.

He also alleged that, on one occasions, he was sick and had visited hospital for treatment but K1 ordered him to return home immediately.

Ayankunle said though he spent 22 years working for the Fuji artiste, he had nothing concrete to show for it.

He said he had been suffering from a chronic illness for a long time, and that K1 should be suspected if anything bad befalls him.

Responding to his drummer’s allegations, KWAM 1 described Ayankunle as an ungrateful individual who loves money a lot.

In an interview with GoldmyneTV, the Fuji star said he considers Ayankunle a trouble maker.

Talking about how money earned is shared among the band members, the musician explains: “The agreement between me and my band members is ratio 60 percent (for KWAM 1) to 40 percent (for band members), but it was later adjusted to 50:50.

He also disclosed that, on several occasions when he wanted to take his band members abroad, he had had to take loan or resort to spending his own money, adding, “None of them knew anything about this!”

“When I borrow money to maintain the band, no one sees me,” he said.

Concerning seizure of band members’ passports whenever they travel, the musician said it was to prevent them from ‘japa,’ noting that he had experienced the issue with band members on several occasions and that it was necessary if he must give account at the immigration desk.

The musician confessed that it is not easy to recruit band members, and that he has been doing it for 50 years.
