The Delta State Police Command has narrated a gory incident in which a trusted friend reportedly killed his wealthy friend who had given him money to help buy a house.
According to the Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command SP Bright Edafe, one Efe had advertised a building to his friend Paulinus, but after collecting N30 million from Paulinus to purchase the building, Efe diverted the money, bought two lands, and used his friend’s money to build a house for himself.
When Paulinus asked Efe for the location of the property he had paid for, Efe reportedly contacted three other suspects to help him kill Efe. These men lured Paulinus to an isolated environment where they tied him to a stake and beheaded him while he was alive.
They took his severed head to a shrine and buried it there.
After killing Paulinus, Efe went ahead to call his family, posing as a kidnapper in need of ransom to release Paulinus. He reportedly collected over N20m from Paulinus’ family in the process.
