Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has officially opened the doors of the newly constructed Warri South Council 30-bed Cottage Hospital.
The Warri South Council Chairman, Dr. Michael Tidi, and other dignitaries were at the event.
During the inauguration ceremony, Governor Oborevwori reiterated his strong advocacy for financial autonomy for local governments, emphasizing the pivotal role such facilities play in delivering quality healthcare services to communities.
He applauded the dedication and foresight of the Warri South Council in realizing this vital project and called on other local government chairmen to follow suit.
Former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan also lauded the transformation of a former playground into a fully equipped healthcare facility, underscoring the tangible benefits it brings to the populace.
Dr. Tidi, expressing gratitude for the collaborative support received, outlined the remarkable progress achieved under his administration, particularly in primary healthcare and infrastructure development.
The event was attended by various dignitaries that included representatives of traditional rulers and political leaders.
