A 26-year-old watermelon seller, Samuel Kalu, on Thursday appeared before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defiling a 17-year-old boy.
The defendant, whose address is unknown, is facing three counts of defilement, rape and gross indecency. He denied committing the offence.
The prosecutor, Insp Ayodele Adeosun, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on July 4, at about 5.00p.m at Ashipa Primary School, Seme, Badagry, Lagos.
He alleged that the defendant had anal sex with the 17-year-old boy.
“The offences contravened Sections 261, 135 and 170 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015,” he said.
The Chief Magistrate, Patrick Adekomaiya, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N400,000, and two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until Aug. 5, for mention.(NAN)
