We only wanted to rob him, two ladies arrested for socialite’s murder allege

In a disturbing incident that sent shock waves throughout Kwara State, two female students of Kwara State Polytechnic Adama and Favour (surnames withheld) have been apprehended by the Police for their alleged involvement in the robbery and murder of one Adeniyi Ojo, son of Chief Emmanuel Ojo, a prominent figure in Ilorin.

The grim event transpired in the backdrop of a previous report, where the Managing Director of a hotel in Ilorin was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances on Friday, September 29. The two students were arrested on October 6.

According to the Force PRO, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who addressed the media while parading the suspects in Abuja, the police’s meticulous investigative work led to the tracking and subsequent arrest of the two suspects in Mowe Ibafo, Ogun State.

He revealed the chilling details of the case, stating, “In a tragic incident, the duo tied the deceased under the guise of having a sexual encounter and demanded money from him. But when he was not forthcoming, they resorted to drugging and suffocating him, leading to his untimely demise.”

The Force PRO emphasized that the suspects have been processed and are set to face charges in court soon.

In a statement to the press, one of the suspects, Adama confirmed the police’s account of the events.

Adama disclosed that she had been in a sexual relationship with the deceased, who had expressed a desire for a threesome with her and her friend, Favour.

“We have finished our ND program at Kwara Polytechnic before the incident happened. We didn’t plan to kill him. On that particular day, we went with the intention to steal from him, so we told him that we wanted to do BDSM, and he agreed to have a threesome with me and my friend,” Adama stated.

She added that, after tying the deceased’s hands and legs, they attempted to subdue him with a pillow and a sedative but didn’t intend to harm him physically.

She said they left with his phone and other valuables, only to learn later that he had died.
