Why I adopted Imaobong’s son -OPM’s Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere

The General Overseer and Founder of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has stated the reason he opted to adopt Miss Imaobong Loveth Sunday’s controversial child.

Recall that the 22-year-old Imaobong had taken to social media to allege that Apostle Chibuzor is the father of her son; an allegation that attracted condemnation, especially from Chinyere’s followers worldwide. While some believed the allegation to be true, others saw the lady as merely seeking attention.

On his Facebook platform, Chibuzor cleared the air on the issue and said that he will not deny any child because his own parents never denied him.

He said, “I have affected lives, I have over 500 children in my house, free schools for the less privileged, I have over 4,000 persons under my scholarship programme all over abroad.”

Corroborating the above, a post on Chibuzor Gift Chinyere’s Facebook account on Sunday reads: “Finally Apostle Chibuzor has forgiven all those that spoke against him on social media.

“Apostle Chibuzor forgave them all because of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“And Apostle Chibuzor has decided to adopt the controversial child of Imabong. Almost all the 500 children are answering Chibuzor as their surname and this child will not be excluded.

“Put him in a good school like other adopted 500 children and he will join the next batch of children traveling overseas for vacation after the Apostle’s birthday in October and he will also open a bank account for him, the way he opened for other children.”

Concerning Imaobong, the man said, ” said, “I felt so shocked and unhappy over the allegations of Miss Imaobong loveth Sunday, Only God knows how I have been supportive of her, and I can’t say much.

“I have forgiven her and I have agreed to take in that child as my own and also shoulder his responsibility. Please tell Loveth to bring the child for me.”

Mixed reactions have however greeted the Apostle’s gesture as many of his followers on Facebook hailed him, describing him as a generous and great personality; while some others concluded that adopting the controversial child implies that the boy is his.

The following are some of the reactions to his decision:
