Why Soludo’s daughter’s wedding held in Abuja and not in Anambra

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo’s daughter, Ifeatu Adaora, tied the knot with her partner, Arinze Ibekwe, in a stunning white wedding ceremony in Abuja last Saturday.

The high-profile event drew the country’s elite, including prominent figures from various fields.

Notably, the wedding venue was chosen by Soludo’s in-law, who resides in Abuja, following the earlier traditional marriage rites held in the governor’s hometown of Isuofia, Aguata local government area of Anambra.

Overjoyed by the success of the ceremony, Governor Soludo took to his Facebook page to express his delight, posting: “Arinze and Ifeatu called, and we answered!” on Sunday.

“Yesterday was a proud moment for me, as I watched my Son in-law and daughter pull of the wedding of their dream. This journey of many highpoints, climaxed yesterday in the presence of God, family, friends and colleagues.

“I am particularly grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, ably represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, represented by the wife of the SGF; The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima GCON, who was physically present.
