The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has urged parents to be on high alert and inspect their children’s belongings for small, decorative bottles.
These bottles, according to NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, are not just mere accessories but are now becoming vessels for a concerning substance known as Loud/Colos, prevalent among youths in the upscale areas of Lekki, Ikoyi, and Victoria Island in Lagos.
He wrote, “Heads up to parents. Please watch out for these fanciful small bottles in the bags/pockets of your kids.”
Babafemi further revealed that these substances concealed in trendy bottles are sold at a considerable price, with each bottle fetching about N15,000.
The NDLEA therefore said it has sprung into action, making arrests and seizures to curb the spread of this new drug trend.
