Nigerian-born Grammy Award-winning Tems who has captivated the world with her soulful voice, has opened up about the challenges and blessings of being a Nigerian woman.
In an exclusive interview with Kiss FM, London, United Kingdom, Tems revealed that being a Nigerian is not easy, but it is also a source of strength and inspiration.
She said, “Being a Nigerian woman is a miracle. Because being a Nigerian, for anybody, is tough. But I think if you can tap into your gifts and own who you are and be unapologetic about it, and take that to the world, that is an honour.
I think Nigerian women are very special to me. They are very dear to me and I believe that it is such a huge blessing to be a Nigerian woman and to be living in this time.”
Tems, who recently won the Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, also talked about her musical journey, her collaborations with international artists, and her upcoming projects.
