Cheeky skit maker Maruf Abdullahi ‘served breakfast’ for sexually exploiting child

A family court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday extended the remand of skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, popularly known as Trinity Guy, in Agodi correctional centre for allegedly sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl.

As reported on Instablog9ja, he was remanded alongside parents of the underage girl he allegedly exploited, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife Rofiat Ahmed, 29.

The court had, on June 26, ordered the remand of Maruf Abdullahi in Agodi correctional facility until July 11.

Alongside the skit maker, the court also arraigned and remanded the victim’s parent on two counts of “conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation.”

The Magistrate, P.O. Adetuyibi, did not take the defendants’ plea for want of jurisdiction, saying the case file had been filed and duplicated at the state Ministry of Justice, Ibadan.

At the court on Tuesday, July 11, the Magistrate ordered that the trio continue to be remanded in Agodi prison while she adjourned the matter to August 3 for mention.

The Prosecution Counsel, Inspector Oluwakemi Arowosaye had earlier told the court that the troi allegedly conspired to wit sexual abuse.

Arowosaye narrated that Maruf Abdullahi was, on December 17, 2022, alleged to have sexually abused and exploited a 10-year-old girl at the Kuola area in Ibadan.

The offence, according to the police, contravenes the provisions of Section 35 (1) and is punishable under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Right’s Law 2006.

She also said it contravenes the provisions of Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.

The skit maker has been in the news since his skit where he asked a minor to state the colour of his own penis went viral. This made the police to call for his arrest, as he was seen as exposing the minor to sexual content.

Though he had in a video in reaction to the call for his arrest, apologised, saying that the video, where he used a10-year-old girl to act a part where she was stating the colour of manhood, was a ‘miscaption’.
