Commissioner monitors Lagos schools’ resumption

The commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, today monitored the resumption of schools in Lagos.

This is s part of activities at welcoming principals, teachers as well as students back to school for the second term, year 2024/2025 academic session.

A statement by the Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Kayode Sutton, states that the entourage, which arrived at the Government Technical College, Agidingbi, early Monday, January 6, 2025, acknowledged large turnout of students at resumption after the Yuletide.

The Commissioner, who affirmed the necessity for establishment of more Technical Colleges in Lagos, charged Teachers/Instructors to strive towards high performance, particularly in external examinations in the new term and beyond, while highlighting the unwavering commitment of Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu towards providing habitable environment for teaching and learning.

The Commissioner advised Teachers on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and get registered with the Lagos State Health Management Scheme for easy access to quality health care.

Other Schools visited at resumption are Agidingbi Senior and Junior Grammar School and Agidingbi Primary School, Ikeja.
