COWA inaugurates new secretariat

National President, Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, has inaugurated a new national secretariat for the group.

At the event held at the Federal Housing Estate, Gwarinpa, Abuja, Mrs. Adeniyi said erecting the structure and its launch shows dedication to uplifting its members and fostering community development.

She noted that COWA is largely dedicated to championing the cause of the weak and underprivileged in the society which is why their vision involves expanding the association’s empowerment initiatives nationwide, towards impacting the lives of Custom operatives’ families.

The occasion witnessed the inauguration of its national secretariat as a central hub for COWA’s impactful activities.

She also disclosed that they have plans to extend COWA’s influence beyond national borders as they envision a thriving future through introducing cutting-edge advancements to boost efficiency and modernization.

She then disclosed a promise to empower over 1,200 COWA members under her leadership through skill acquisition and training programmes to reflect their dedication to holistic well-being with better focus on family’s health and providing support for Customs officers’ families.

She further sought support to actualize COWA’s educational projects and other initiatives and encourages members to support their husbands and make homes a refuge while thanking the association’s founder, Mrs. Prisca Nwadialo and former national president, A’ishatu Sadiya Dikko Inde, for their supportive presence at the occasion.
