Ex-NUPENG scribe Kokori’s family unveils burial plans

The family of the late Frank Kokori, a former General Secretary of the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), has announced the dates for his final burial ceremonies.

The Chief Frank Kokori Burial Planning Committee revealed the schedule in a statement at Ovu, the Kokoris’ country home in Delta State.

The burial ceremonies for the octogenarian, who passed away on December 7, 2023 on his 80th birthday, are set to take place from March 4 to 10, 2024.

The committee outlines a series of events, including a symposium/day of tributes on March 4 at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.

Prominent figures, including President Bola Tinubu, government officials, labour union leaders, civil society members, and the public are invited to attend.

The week-long ceremonies will conclude on March 10 with a church thanksgiving gathering for the family, friends and well-wishers.
