Family, friends mourn Police Officer Emmanuella Ankyov, ex-corper Emmanuel Uche slain in Benue bank robberies

Family and friends have continued to pour encomiums on Police Officer Emmanuella Ankyov who was slain during the robbery incidents that rocked the Benue branches of Access Bank, First Bank, Zenith International Bank, UBA and Stanbic Bank.

Equally being mourned is Emmanuel Uche who had recently completed his National Youth Service and had thereafter secured a job with the United Bank for Africa branch in the state.

Emmanuella has been alleged to be one of the eight persons who died during a bank robbery incident that happened in Otukpo, Benue State, on Friday.

That robbers reportedly made away with heavy sum of money from the different banks while shooting indiscriminately.

It was gathered that the banks affected are Stanbic Bank, United Bank for Africa, Zenith Bank, and First Bank Plc.

Three police officers, one vigilante and a councilor of Otukpo Ward 2 who was transacting business in one of the affected banks were among those killed.

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Sewuese, confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, in the wake of this tragic incident, the friends, family members, and colleagues of Police Officer Emmanuella Ankyov have taken to social media, particularly Facebook, to mourn the loss of the dedicated officer.
