One of Nollywood’s finest stars, Genevieve Nnaji, who has been absent from the cinema scene since last year, has been sighted in Canada.
The screen diva attended the Toronto International Film Festival, where she showcased her new movie, I Do Not Come to You By Chance.
The film is a remarkable feature in the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival’s 2023 Centrepiece programme.
It’s co-produced by Chinny Carter and Chioma Onyenwe, with a captivating script written by the talented duo, Chika Anadu and Ishaya Bako.
Genevieve’s appearance at the festival after almost a year of silence has quelled the rumours of her mental illness that circulated on social media last year.
The actress sparked worries days after her birthday in May 2022, when she wiped out all her Instagram posts and followed no one. Since then, the ageless actress had been off the radar. It was speculated that Genevieve later moved to the United States.
She, however, resurfaced at the 2022 edition of the Creative Africa Nexus as one of the speakers of the events held in November last year.
